Management Consulting is seeking a Principal level professional to join their more than 300 consultants, regulatory policy advisors, technology specialists, and energy industry respected subject matter experts. This individual will plan, market, and deliver world-class consulting solutions in the Energy sector with a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach that integrates strategic, financial and process-based advisory services to private and investor-owned utility companies, municipalities, and government agencies. The Financial & Regulatory Services Practice provides highly desired services in this market segment including: utility rate case support, regulatory strategy development, costing and rate design, and expert testimony and litigation support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the Practice by helping to creatively engage utility clients and delivering solutions to their needs. Specifically they should be able to manage and develop junior associates and provide strong analytical and research capabilities to utility clients.
Working knowledge of the utility ratemaking process and regulatory policy, costing and pricing of utility services, rate case planning and policy development, regulatory due diligence, new product and service development, load research and demand forecasting studies, and market planning.
He/she should have served as an expert witness on electric or natural gas ratemaking matters before state and federal regulatory bodies.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated technical expertise in the costing and pricing of electric and natural gas utility services showing the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex ratemaking and regulatory problems within the client's business environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred.
Has managed significant engagements. Typically 10+ years in a business/consulting environment. 2+ years Business Development experience preferred.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Advanced Degree highly desirable.
