Primary Purpose:
Functions in a mid level engineer capacity, or technical specialist. Under general supervision, performs all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis. Broadens knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineering design, analysis, and studies for electric utility
related high voltage transmission line and substation projects.
Experience should include at least three years engineer doing engineering, detailed physical design for substation or transmission line projects through 500kV. Candidates should have
working knowledge of Transmission Line specifications, supporting
permitting activities, and able to support the field construction
professionals by answering design and engineering questions during
construction periods.

Some specific activities include:
•Provide project status reports to Project Management and Project Lead.
•Develop project design criteria and communicate it to the project team.
•Develops the engineering work for a major project, or several smaller, but complex projects.
•Develops or evaluates plans/criteria or special analyses required in support
of the engineering effort.
•Develops new or improved techniques or procedures for application in unique engineering.
•Coordinates the design of projects with involved B&V and client engineering and personnel.
•Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. Champions
continuous improvement efforts. Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
•Mentor subordinate engineers, designers for program usage.
•Assists in estimating project costs for engineering and construction and ensure compliance with
schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
•Must be able to communicate and work well with all clients, vendors and staff and able to work in a diverse cultural environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 3 years related work experience.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Intellectual Horsepower, Written Communications, Drive For Results, Decision Quality, Informing, Listening, and Dealing with Ambiguity. Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline Basic knowledge of other disciplines. Intermediate ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. Basic industry knowledge and technology trends Basic knowledge of company quality program Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles Basic knowledge of procurement & contract administration. Basic knowledge of process, procedures for project controls and estimating Basic knowledge of technical aspects of the proposal process.
