Our services encompass planning, design, procurement, construction, startup, optimization and maintenance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Individual is primarily responsible for drafting and leading commercial negotiations for Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts and other major contracts for power, oil and gas and industrial projects. Drafts, edits and negotiates not only the EPC Contract but related joint venture agreements, some critical equipment agreements and other key project agreements. Individual is expected to bring substantial expertise on EPC Contracts risks and risk management to the position: functions independently as a primary commercial advisor for proposal and project teams in the EPC contracting process. Must be a team player who plays an active role in contract development and execution. This is a senior level position reporting to Black & Veatch’s Commercial Director, who has overall responsibility for Black & Veatch EPC Contracts and other major contracts.

Position also involves some training for engineers, construction professionals and others within the organization on contract risks and risk management, as well as possibility of mentoring less experienced contract managers and administrators.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Experience with EPC Contracts and/or other major contracts relating to power or industrial projects is required.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Legal background or strong experience in negotiation and administration of major project contracts preferred.

5+ years' experience with major power, oil & gas, LNG and/or industrial contracts preferred.
