Responsible for the preparation of assigned financial reports; implementation of accounting policy and extensive account analysis. Includes supervision, training and development of direct reports. Works under minimal supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trains, delegates and reviews the work performed by direct reports
- Reviews, reconciles and resolves assigned accounts; initiates action on obsolete assets or unbooked accruals
- Prepares, analyzes and reviews monthly/quarterly financial statements and various reports
- Recommends and participates in implementation of policies and procedures within department
- Prepares and/or reviews journal entries Monitors and balances systems to ensure completeness and accuracy; researches and resolves differences
- Coordinates/communicates issues within department and across the various divisions Performs special projects as directed by management or other divisions
- Prepares and reviews foreign currency proofs Participates in the audit process by addressing inquires with manager supervision
- Recognizes potential risks and opportunities within area of responsibility and communicate as appropriate
- Recognizes impact of inter-firm transactions and related elimination process
- Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.; Supervises work of others.
- Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years related experience. Engineering or Construction Industry experience preferred. Practical experience applying foreign currency theory preferred.; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
