Primary Purpose:
Work on a team under direct supervision of a lead subcontract administrator in preparation and monitoring the bidding cycle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all subcontracting practices and procedures are in effect and compatible with proposal and/or project policies and procedures Assist Subcontracts Manager in implementing effective Subcontract strategies to support proposal and/or project opportunities across all business lines Coordinate with engineering, estimating and construction leads to support development of scoping documents, drawings, estimate quantities, indirect cost structure and site specific construction requirements Read and interpret scopes of work and assist engineering and construction leads to determine proposal and/or project needs Develop and issue subcontractor RFP packages and Addenda to support proposal and project pricing efforts Develop sourcing strategies for subcontractors, services and commodities to support pricing efforts across all business lines Collaborate with engineering, estimating and construction leads to reconcile scope requirements, quantities and overall bid conditioning Maintain subcontract bid tabulation including necessary cost adjustments and provide final recommendations

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of work experience in a Construction, Estimating or Engineering environment in support of EPC proposal or project efforts. Field experience and working directly with subcontractors considered a plus

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Field experience and working directly with subcontractors considered a plus. Construction field experience working with civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical subcontractors on power plant, oil - gas or substation - transmission projects Estimating experience working in civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines on power plant, oil-gas or substation - transmission projects Engineering experience working to resolve construction or estimating related issues on power plant, oil - gas or substation - transmission projects Ability to maintain organization in a fast paced and changing environment Self-motivated but able to successfully work in a team environment for the overall task Proactive, flexible and responsible for job duties Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility Negotiates internal issues, priorities and deadlines Excellent presentation skills General computer skills – Microsoft suite
