Responsible for ensuring statutory books for assigned legal entities are accurate and complete by implementation of accounting policy, extensive account analysis and compliance with statutory accounting rules and regulations, including GAAP.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares and enters journal entries
• Reconciles assigned accounts and resolves outstanding reconciling items
• Ensures completion of all account reconciliations performed outside Accounting for assigned entities
• Identifies risks and opportunities within area of responsibility and communicates as appropriate
• Prepares and reviews monthly and quarterly financial analyses, statements and reports
• Ensures compliance with local government tax filings
• Performs foreign currency translations and proofs
• Participates in external audits by completion of PBCs and addressing auditor inquiries
• Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements
• Implements accounting policies and procedures
• Identifies, communicates and assists in resolving issues within the department and across various divisions
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 4+ years related experience
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Knowledge of general ledger systems
• Proven knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply principles
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with foreign currency preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
