Primary Purpose:
The Sr. Strategy Manager will work in partnership with the Pursuit Leader to craft the engineering services offer, including value propositions, and may lead the proposal team to ensure the offer is consistent in its messages, is evident in the writing, and captured in the illustrations so as to resonate with the client. Work involves broad latitude for decision-making and review of actions through goal attainment. Strategic and transactional decisions have a profound impact on the U.S. Western region. Conducts long-term planning of complex, strategic, and major projects. Requires expert knowledge in several areas, including marketing, communications, event coordination, branding, and proposal support. Also requires the ability to integrate critical information from several diverse areas. Requires extensive theoretical, practical and engineering industry knowledge. Develops and applies highly advanced strategic principles and concepts. Sr. Strategy Manager works under minimal direction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs the strategic effort for complex proposals and presentations. Offers strategic input and coordinates development of proposal in alignment with strategy. Establishes the core pursuit team (in collaboration with Pursuit Leader) to ensure appropriate specialists are engaged. May draft proposal sections (i.e. cover letter, executive summary). Manages proposal and presentation preparation activities. Coaching and facilitation of presentation program. Directs training of marketing and technical staff on marketing-related issues. Other marketing responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or a related field and a minimum of 9+ years related experience (bachelor’s degree may be substituted for additional equivalent experience).

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Applicant should have master’s degree or relevant experience. Experience marketing professional engineering services highly desirable. Experience leading marketing teams. SMPS certification.
