The Scoping Specialist (NON-DRIVING POSITION) will be working for the Turf Pre-Construction (TPC) team made up of a Lead Scoping Manager and a Lead Construction Manager, supporting each market initiative from NSB, UMTS, LTE, Modifications within each Turf. The Scoping Specialist has the responsibility to support the construction team on scoping drivers, WAs, and materials for upcoming build sites.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Scoping Specialist and the TPC team will start the process with a kick off meeting with Engineering and the site audit contractors, expectations will be laid out in the meeting and a complete and acceptable site audit template will be handed over to the site audit contractor. The goal of Scoping Specialist is to be 95% accurate before construction starts on site. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: - Site scoping - RFDS accuracy review and verification - Feed sheet creation (VPOR, MPOR) - Assist the Field Construction Managers & Lead Construction Managers with change management process - Close out documentation review and approval - Reviews audits provided by audit contractors. - Starts Rev. 0 construction driver, document deliverable creation in QB and long lead material identification. The timeline per site on completion is 10 days. - Uploads the MPOR in Quickbase for processing the order (After the SAM, Engineering and or Construction initiative lead will work with AT&T RF to obtain the final RFDS actualization permission. This will be the point of ordering long lead items for the site). - Finalizes drivers and contracted material, non-contracted material is created and work authorizations are developed. Work authorizations are obtain from GCs following a site walk. Finalize document deliverables in quick base. The timeline to completion of feed sheet is 10 days. - presents the project team an analysis that identifies the change and the impact it will have on the schedule for the site. - Uploads the Material POR into Quickbase in a timely manner after the MS41 actualization. - Makes sure the first initial VPOR is processed before the site starts construction. - Initiates with the Norad Administrator for the market to input the first revision OOM into NORAD.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years with a degree or 3 years at Superintendent level; Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or heavy industrial experience preferred, or relevant experience.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience: 4 – 6 years construction or site acquisition work experience (preferred). •Knowledge and experience in wireless construction and telecommunication technology. •Strong interpersonal skills required.
