Assists in estimate coordination, consolidation of discipline estimates and development of final cost basis for SCADA construction proposals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for estimate coordination and consolidation of each of the discipline estimates into the SCADA Estimate Proposal. Reviews design scopes and assists in development of basis of quantities, and performs related material take-offs.
Prepares direct labor estimates, subcontract labor, materials, equipment and indirect costs.
Develops productivities and analyzes consistency with construction operations.
Prepares contingency, escalation and reconciliation for estimates.
Prepares management presentations.
Updates and maintains historical cost data, and performs comparisons of scope, quantities and cost data between projects.
Reviews and designs specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives where appropriate.
Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 to 10 years estimating experience is required.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Construction estimating if preferred.
Construction Field experience is preferred but not required.
Must be able to handle short proposal durations and managing multiple proposals at once
Prefer experience in Telecom industry
SCADA esperience is preferred
Work in a fast paced enviroment
Meet deadlines
Willing and able to learn processes outside of primary duties
Timberline experience or solid knowledge of other estimating software.
Very proficient in Excel - Pivot charts
Very proficient in Word
