Primary Purpose:
Performs both routine and complex shop inspections to determine acceptance and/or rejection of work performed in a variety of disciplines in compliance with applicable codes, standards and/or specifications. Monitors schedules and costs, may provide technical guidance to others. Actively promotes effective implementation of Company’s policies and standards in support of projects. This position may be responsible for direction of other QC staff or third party/agency quality professionals on assigned inspections. Supports development of or revisions to policies and standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Creates and reviews Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), reviews project schedule to plan for needed shop inspections on respective, assigned projects.
2. Participates in project meetings, providing QC shop inspection updates as required, communicating relevant information to other quality professionals and inspectors as appropriate.
3. Interfaces and coordinate with REs and assigned inspector/ supplier to support shop inspection activities.
4. Report and coordinates with project team and regional QC manager to resolve supplier quality issues.
5. Perform shop inspection activities, as required.
6. Initial review of inspection reports; prepare monthly QC report to project team.
7. Review supplier submitted quality documents, if required.
8. Follow up all open quality action items and issues with suppliers and inspectors.
9. Pre-qualify suppliers, if applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. CWI (certified welding inspector) is preferred.
2. ISO9001 auditor (internal or external) is preferred.
3. NDE Level II certifications for RT/ UT/ MT/ PT are preferred.
4. Familiar with ASME, API, AWS D1.1, GB 150 standard.
5. At least 10 years working experience for inspection, and 3 years as team leader. Prefer in power plant and LNG plant background.
6. Familiar with pressure parts, rotating equipment fabrication and test processes.
7. Very good team player.
8. Fluent in English speaking and writing is required.
