The Project Controls Manager manages a diverse team of cost and schedule professionals on a large construction project and is able to achieve succesfful results. Is proactive in addressing cost, schedule, and progress issues therefore supporting a successful project outcome.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
PROJECT CONTROLS MGR: Leads project controls team on most complex and highest risk projects; is an integral part of mgt team for project success; collaborates with the project mgt leadership team to ensure project success; identifies improvements to processes; leads in developing staff capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years in construction planning/scheduling, business systems maintenance, cost engineering, and/or contract administration.
Education: BA, BS, or MS graduate, but may include individuals who have had previous experience within other functional areas
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Previous experience in large scale power plant construction in a direct hire, union labor environment. Previous experience in subcontract management is a plus. Must have extensive knowledge of state of the art CPM scheduling software but must have planning experience as well. Experience with construction work packaging as well as construction progress measurement using EVMS methods and cost forecasting is required.
