Responsible for significant equipment subcontract procurement transactions for major Energy construction projects
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
This role handles the entire procurement process from prepare and issue packages for bids to negotiation and award of a package for a major energy construction project.
Proficient in the basic functions of the vendor database.
Prepares contract documents and bidders list.
Prepares, issues and supports the bidding process.
Manages the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with engineering regarding the technical evaluation.
Makes recommendations for selected short listed bidder(s) and who to award. Schedules, coordinates and manages the negotiation process. Begins to resolve simple and moderately complex commercial terms and conditions exceptions. Manages the award and conforming process. File appropriate record documents and follow filing rules. May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a project. ; Individual contributor with no subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience without a degree. BA or BS degree in Purchasing, Business, Technical or related field (preferred). Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
High school diploma preferred. General Computer Skills Microsoft Office Suite.
