Responsible for basic procurement transactions for direct project involvement and general use within the Procurement Department, preparing to issue packages for bids to negotiation and award of a package
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigned basic procurements and develops an understanding of the other operations within the Procurement Department Learns and becomes proficient in the basic functions of the vendor database to provide and track vendor information. Prepares contract documents and bidders list as assigned. Prepares, issues and supports the bidding process. Coordinates the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with engineering regarding the technical evaluation. Coordinates the negotiation process to include preparing the commercial negotiation log and scheduling and coordinate negotiation meetings with vendors and project team. Coordinates the award and conforming process. May be required to administer contracts through the payment and tracking of invoices and the issuance of contract revisions. File appropriate record documents and follow filing rules. ; Individual contributor with no subordinates.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma (required).
Minimum of 1 year experience without a degree.; . Relevant procurement experience may be substituted for a degree.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in Purchasing, Business, Technical or related field (preferred) General Computer Skills Microsoft Office Suite.
