Black & Veatch is looking for an Ireland Operation Manager (with a bias to business development) to be based full time in Ireland, with strong knowledge of the water/wastewater UK market and ideally with knowledge of the Irish water market.

Primary Purpose:
Working closely with senior leadership in Black & Veatch to build successful relationships with Irish Water, partners and supply chain to build and develop a sustainable €25m/yr business in Ireland.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities: • Deliver the Black & Veatch strategic plan. • Establish Black & Veatch as a major play in the Ireland water market. • Develop and manage strong relationships with Irish Water and the supply chain. • Ensure Black & Veatch has access to the right volume and type of Irish Water project opportunities and is invited to tender. • Preposition for all opportunities. • Develop and agree win strategies with Leadership Team. • Lead key prospects. • Grow local managerial delivery capabilities in Ireland. • Deliver the “as sold” position. Key relationships: • Know the Irish water market and in particular Irish Water, Consultants working for Irish Water and key suppliers. Special requirements: • Irish-based

Minimum Qualifications:
Competencies/Person Qualifications: • Graduate with a very strong and extensive experience in the water/wastewater • Design and Build experience • Able to work with Clients and the supply chain and develop and manage these relationships whilst understanding what the supply chain has to offer • Experience of tendering and operations • Dynamic with the desire to grow a business. • Excellent and confident communicator at all levels. • Well organised and able to look and plan ahead tactically • Commercial acumen

Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Professionally qualified e.g. MICE / MIEI or similar, or a post-grad qualification e.g. MBA
