Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international substation projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Working on Power Delivery projects.
Substation Electrical Engineer, responsible for executing the detailed electrical design of
medium to high voltage utility substations.
Design tasks include substation arrangements, rigid bus design, grounding and raceway design, and creating control and protection schematic diagrams.
Other tasks include project scoping and estimating, writing specifications, and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
Candidate will be responsible for technical correctness of designs and able to correctly interpret Black & Veatch standards, client standards, and industry standards. Supervises drafters, designers, and occasional subordinate engineers assigned to the project. This includes work
assignments, scheduling, and review. Coordinates design efforts with other project personnel in the same or other departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or its foreign equivalent.
Must have the Engineer-In-Training EIT certification or its equivalent, if any, in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing.
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing engineering related duties, specifically in substation design.
