Functions in a mid level engineer capacity, or technical specialist. Under general supervision, performs all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis on power delivery projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Working on Power Delivery projects: Transmission Line Engineer, Responsible for executing the detailed design of medium to high voltage transmission lines. Other tasks include project scoping and estimating, writing specifications, and evaluating subcontractor proposals. Candidate will be responsible for technical correctness of designs and able to correctly interpret Black & Veatch standards, client standards, and industry standards. Supervises drafters, designers, and occasional, subordinate engineers assigned to the project. This includes work assignments, scheduling, and review. Coordinates design efforts with other project personnel in the same or other departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 3 years related work experience in transmission line design.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Working knowledge of PLS-CADD software.
