Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analyses. Performs basic equipment selection research and develops recommendations with supportive materials. Checks manufacturer's drawings, logic diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagram drawings, and other B&V prepared drawings. Develops familiarity with departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies. Maintains engineering records and lists as required. Prepares basic design sketches for drafting. Minimum GPA requirement of 2.75.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. EIT/FE helpful. MicroSoft Office tools experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. EOE – M/D/V/F
Preferred Job Qualifications:
A demonstrated interest in the thermal sciences such as having taken technical electives covering energy conversion, design of thermal systems, turbomachinery, and/or combustion. Alternatively, interest in applying stress analysis techniques to piping systems is also preferred.
