Primary Purpose:
Position is an entry-level (in training) position. Individual typically possesses a working knowledge of basic CAD or other electronic tools and/or design skills through education they received prior to employment with Black & Veatch. Position is an apprentice role and will learn the use of B&V Tools, Standards and Document Control Procedures prior to advancement to the next level. In some disciplines and/or offices this position description may be design-oriented using the required tools to perform assignments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and modify drawings based on sketches, mark-up copies or verbal instructions. Develop necessary details with minor supervision. Learn and maintain a working knowledge of project and company CAD standards. Understanding of engineering design processes and document control procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors in an Engineering Related Technology or Associates or Bachelors in a Computer Aided Design Program a requirement (Minimum of 2.75 GPA also required). AutoCAD skills (2010 preferred), Microsoft Office, and excellent written and verbal communication skills also a solid requirement.
