Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and modify engineering drawings including one-lines, schematics and wiring diagrams based on sketches, mark-up copies or verbal instructions. Develop necessary details with minor supervision. Learn and maintain a working knowledge of project and company CAD standards. Understanding of engineering design processes and document control procedures. Design tasks to include substation control and protective relaying and substation equipment layouts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Program with a Power Focus at an ABET accredited university. Must be at least Junior status at beginning of internship and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. Power Systems coursework is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary. MicroSoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook skills also required. Minimum GPA Requirement of 2.75.
