Primary Purpose:
This is a first line supervisory position, with responsibility for supervising one or more related functions in the following areas: marketing, communications, branding, proposal support, or event coordination. Understands and communicates the strategy and vision to assigned work group. Ensures alignment to functional, divisional and company strategies. Oversees day-to-day operational activities. Provides direction to assigned work group. Works under minimal supervision. Scope typically involves a combination of the following: * a narrow function or subset of larger function * supports lines of business, client groups, or geography as assigned * a small region or a country Requires application of principles, theories, and concepts and draws on previous experience to determine a course of action. May require considerable working knowledge of other major areas and the skill to integrate and communicate that information.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties may include but are not limited to the following (Professional responsibilities may cross functions as needed): General • Has staff management responsibilities for a work group; responsible for performance management and career develop activities. • Serves as business advisor to division or smaller subset of the company. • Establishes priorities; provides work direction and assignments; monitors work to ensure deadlines met; conducts review. • Typically has influence on budget and monitors. Branding • Brand management is considered complex and critical to the overall success of the company • Participates in the development and implementation of strategic plans to promote and increase the brand identity to maximize company sales and contribute to profitable growth. • Focus is on a single, easily identified brand Communications • Manages communications activities e.g. assigning projects, reviewing/ editing/ approving written copy • Participates in forecasting of internal and external needs to develop copy content for a wide variety of complex marketing applications and programs • Responsible for scheduling all jobs into production schedule • Applies advanced communication knowledge, skills and principles • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work and problem solving • Monitors budget performance Marketing • Manages the marketing function (e.g. assigning projects, reviewing/ editing/ approving marketing materials and collateral) • Participates in the forecasting of internal and external needs to develop marketing content for a wide variety of complex marketing applications and programs • Oversees copy to be used, whether written internally or by an outside vendor • Establishes and maintains quality assurance standards and procedures for all written material • Responsible for scheduling all jobs into production schedule • Maintaining records of copies for jobs on the production schedule • Monitors budget performance Proposals • Integrate critical information from many diverse areas, with extensive theoretical practical and industry knowledge • Applies and/or develops highly advanced principles and concepts • Participates in forecasts and advises on the future internal and external needs for pursuit related work including strategy, proposal and presentation development • Recognized by internal and external associates for high-level expertise • Represents the company point-of-view in high-level presentations • Work involves broad latitude for decision-making and review of actions through goal attainment • Work prioritization and decisions are critical to the overall success of all aspects and phases of the organization • Applies expert knowledge, principles, theories and concepts to pursuit support • May have functional management responsibilities for a limited scope of activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience Experience: 6+ years progressive experience, including 2+ years supervisory. Industry experience preferred.
