We are looking for a seasoned radio communications Project Manager to PM our radio communications site development projects across the US. This is a seller/doer role project managing local, state or federal radio communication projects with the scope of services inclusive of, but not limited to, the management of radio communications site development services defined as follows; site design, site engineering, rf engineering, site acquisition, construction and construction management, and in some cases - maintenance of the sites once up and running. The scope could also be inclusive of LMR modernization consulting projects/studies with engineering centered around LMR and LTE technologies. Prior experience and a working knowledge of legacy technologies such as EDACS, some of the older analog and digital technologies, and other legacy systems would be required as system owners seek to migrate to the newer technologies such as P-25, DMR, Tetra and Broadband LTE. Experience in managing and delivering these types of projects would be a plus. Must have the ability to manage multiple clients, proposals, and projects simultaneously.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage assigned Telecom Projects and proposals focused on State or Federal opportunities. Roles and responsibilities include: •Lead proposal efforts for assigned Request for Proposals •Coordinate with Division Operations to secure appropriate project personnel resources •Lead team in development of project execution plan •Manage project execution to meet client and company expectations Goals/metrics: Project schedule, quality and financial performance Project PGM earnings Success rate on assigned project proposals
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years exp required. Project management skills including: scope management, scheduling, budget management (P&L), team leadership, contracting, and risk management. Ability to lead proposal efforts, make customer presentation and participate in the sales cycle. Experience in new communication technologies from an engineering perspective. Experience in deployment of communication networks through site acquisition, procurement and construction a plus. Also, experience with various technologies such as microwave, LTE, land mobile radio, and other related technologies. Knowledge of Public Safety P-25 and LTE networks is preferred.
