Primary Purpose:
Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to design Private Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.

Duties include identifying client needs and requirements, calculating signal strength propagation maps, specifying equipment, creating design drawings and layouts, frequency planning, and working with coordinators to acquire licenses as needed.

Develops, plans, coordinates and directs the engineering work for a major projects, or for the design within a specific discipline.

Maintains engineering records, lists and reports as required to ensure compliance with the client's schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to procurement specification.

Candidate must be able to present complex technical data to audiences with non-technical backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

4 years of Radio System Level design experience.

Minimum of 8 years of Electrical Engineering related duties.

Familiarity with current and legacy trunked radio standards including P-25, DMR, MPT-1327, OpenSky.

Working knowledge of frequency planning process and use of propagation tools. Candidate will be able to utilize propagation modeling techniques to complete LMR designs of large-scale, complex markets.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience with MapInfo, Google Earth, Planet, or other RF propagation software.

Practical Site Turn-Up and System integration and optimization

P.E. license Preferred or in process
