Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
To work in the BV-Energy Group with an emphasis on system planning, dynamic analyses and interconnection studies. Typical candidate would be responsible for Transmission System Planning, including the development, preparation and implementation of system power flow, short circuit, dynamic analyses and generation interconnection studies using a variety of computer programs including PSS/E, MUST, PSLF, Power World and ASPEN.Supports business development client relations initiatives.
Establishes & builds relationships with key or strategic clients.
Interacts with clients to identify opportunities that lead to new business.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years experience in the power area, in particular electric utility transmission planning. MSEE and/or PE license is preferred. Extensive hands-on simulation modeling and load flow experience using PSS/E and/or PSLF is essential. Good knowledge of the process of transmission systems impact studies. Exhibit an understanding of the history, current position and changes affecting the commercial side of the power transmission business. Must be computer literate and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Good inter-personal skills.
