The Quality Associate position is a moderately experienced professional position and will support two or more quality managers simultaneously. Under appropriate supervision, the incumbent will perform routine quality assignments according to training, capability and experience. In addition to performing assigned duties, this position will be primarily focused on developing knowledge regarding project quality support, data trending, records management, root cause analysis, audits, and other concepts related to project quality management. Based on experience, the incumbent may perform routine tasks with minimal supervision, including performing training in areas of competence.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Process Improvement: • Processes changes to quality documents. • Tracks cost of quality, analyzes, and prepares reports. • Generates quarterly and annual QMS Trend Analysis Reports. • Prepares process maps. • Drafts changes to quality documents. Project Quality Management: • Assists in the development of project reports. Performs related tracking. • Assists in maintenance of Living Quality Behavior (LQB) data and reports. • Gathers and processes lessons learned. • Gains a fundamental understanding of project execution processes. RCA: • Assists in data gathering, interviews, and report preparation. Audits: • Assists in preparation of audit reports. Performs related tracking. • Assists with tracking of Deviation Permits and Corrective Action/Preventive Action Reports (CAR/PAR). +C10May also include responsibilities of a Quality Technician, SPC 003.
Minimum Qualifications:
4 year degree in engineering, quality, business, construction science, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 4 years prior experience in a quality/quality management-related field.
Familiarity with quality management software and quality program implementation is required, including knowledge of ISO 9001:2008.
For a Nuclear position (preferred):
• 3 years of total experience in nuclear quality assurance programs
• Certifications: American Society for Quality (ASQ)
• Auditor/Lead Auditor: ISO and/or NQA-1
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Technical:
Computer skills - Microsoft Office computer tools.
Understand transformation of data to information - Ability to visualize how data can be transformed into information in the production of reports for use by project teams.
Understand database concepts - Understands or able to quickly learn basic database concepts in order to manage data and information within systems.
Understanding of how quality issues relate to other company functions such as project schedule, engineering, procurement, construction, etc.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 principles.
For a Nuclear position, knowledge and implementation of NQA-1 and 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs and procedures.
Non-technical:
Demonstrates basic: Process management, conflict management, total work systems, written communications, composure, managerial courage and decision quality.
