Primary Purpose:
The Global Benefits Manager will lead the design, development and delivery of benefits programs, including health and welfare and voluntary benefit programs. Oversees daily administration of the employee benefits insurance plans, the wellness program, and the annual insurance renewal processes. Responsible for the Company’s leave policies and consistent application/interpretation of these policies. This position will also be a key contributor to the development of the Company's objectives as they pertain to benefits programs in the context of the Company's total rewards philosophy. This role partners with human resources and business leaders to ensure that programs meet the Company's stated objectives with respect to cost, market competitive position and service levels. This position reports directly to the Director, Global Total Rewards and has both local and remote leadership responsibility for four direct reports and two indirect reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the design, implementation, administration and support of U.S. and global offerings of employee health and welfare benefit programs including health, disability and life insurance as well as wellness, and voluntary benefits plans. • Collaborate with Employee Relations, Communications team and HR Operations teams for effective and timely communications to plan participants including policy updates. • Review and rationalize global benefits programs to meet local country market competitive needs in accordance with the Company's total rewards philosophy and local business need. • Analyze and evaluate options available through insurance and investment companies to identify and select vendors and programs which best meet the Company's objectives and the needs of plan participants. • Evaluate current service levels provided to plan participants and propose solutions to maximize delivery of excellent service including timely and effective responses to retiree and active participant benefits questions, problem resolution with respect to plan providers and or benefit coverage level disputes, appeals and participant educational initiatives. • Lead negotiation of agreements with insurance carriers and financial institutions for optimized administration of benefits programs in partnership with our consulting partners. • Maintain current knowledge of political, regulatory and market trends to enable effective and proactive response to changes impacting benefits design and cost and to comply with all applicable country, state or local laws through administrative procedures and audits. • Design communication and educational plans to educate participants and facilitate maximum utilization and satisfaction with program offerings. • Prepare and analyze cost and utilization reports to evaluate the effectiveness of plans and recommend alternatives as needed. • Develop, recommend and monitor budget allocations for employee benefits. • Coach and mentor staff and effectively manage vendors. • Serve as HIPAA Privacy official. • Develop overall long term global benefits strategy for the function.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related area. • Strong experience and knowledge (minimum of 8 years) of benefits program design and delivery. • The willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. • Demonstrated strength in the following skill areas: o Customer focus o Leadership o Analysis and problem solving o Teamwork and collaboration skills o Influencing others o Project management skills

Preferred Job Qualifications:
• International benefits design and administration experience. • Subject matter expertise in other areas of human resources and/or finance (e.g. payroll, compensation, etc.) • PeopleSoft Benefits Administration / Base Benefits module experience
