Functions in a senior lead engineering technician capacity. Under general direction, modify or create deliverables and perform assignments of a design nature by applying basic engineering principles and established design practices to develop complex design concepts. Provide technical guidance and may provide direction to other engineering professionals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
To work in the BV-Energy Group with an emphasis on Oil & Gas design. Typical candidate must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Typical candidate would also have working knowledge of electrical equipment, duct bank, cable tray and grounding designs. Able to work in a team environment and take directions, both verbal and written, from senior level designers and engineers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required. Bachelor Degree in an Electrical Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred). Minimum of 8 years related work experience
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Good written and verbal communications skills and able to work in a team environment. Must have good problem solving skills and be willing to travel. Have leadership abilities to lead a design team or group of designers. AutoCAD, Microstation and PDS experience is preferred.
