An Inside Sales and Campaign Specialist is being sought to join the cross-sector Black & Veatch Smart Integrated Infrastructure (SII) team. The Smart Integrated Infrastructure (SII) Growth Platform delivers innovative solutions to the municipal, energy, water, telecom, and transportation sectors, all of which have become increasingly distributed and interconnected. SII defines and develops market-leading solutions that combine physical infrastructure, intelligent technologies and data analytics to create new sources of client value. Solution sets include: Smart Analytics Solutions, which help Power Generation, Electric Grid and Water utilities improve asset and financial performance, reduce operational risk and make more effective planning decisions by transforming data into actionable intelligence; and Integrated Infrastructure Solutions, which combine disruptive technologies such as Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage and M2M communications with other physical and digital infrastructure to create system-wide synergies. Solutions draw upon Black & Veatch’s domain expertise in the Energy, Water and Telecommunications industries and its strengths in Data Analytics and Management Consulting. The Inside Sales/ Campaign Specialist position will be based in the Energy Division, but its mandate will be cross-divisional and require a high degree of coordination with the Black & Veatch Divisions and Global Marketing & Communications.

Primary Purpose:
Conceiving, organizing, managing and implementing sales and marketing campaigns for Smart Integrated Infrastructure solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with SII market development, sales teams and business line leaders to execute winning lead generation and awareness building campaigns that grow Black & Veatch’s client footprint in the Smart Analytics and Integrated Infrastructure domains. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for planning, prospecting, implementing, tracking and reporting on direct marketing and sales campaigns. Campaigns will be multi-faceted and could include email, telephone, social media, and other forms of outreach to stimulate interest in specific offerings, demos, webinars, events, etc. Development of target lists and direct outreach to secure sales meetings will be important components of the campaigns. Candidate must provide analysis of campaign results and communicate them to relevant stakeholders. Candidate will also coordinate off-site thought leadership events and seminars as necessary. The Campaign Specialist will also play a critical role in interacting with partner organizations to accelerate joint sales campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience: 5 years experience including involvement in sales, marketing, and/or proposals strongly preferred.

Enthusiastic about emerging technology including digital marketing techniques; Strong inside sales, marketing and communications skills; Strong problem solving and organization skills; Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail; Strong research and analysis skills; Strong computer skills; Strong knowledge of direct marketing and advertising media. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); 5+ years’ experience in inside sales, prospecting, direct marketing or customer facing roles, ideally within high tech field or utility industry; Ability to understand and communicate complex topics; Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; Ability to confidently discuss information and communications technologies and Black & Veatch’s unique value proposition Experience using software such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track and report on campaigns.
