Primary Purpose:
Functions in a mid level engineering technician capacity. Under general supervision, performs functions requiring intermediate knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Position for the opening has primarily technical design responsibilities. In a technical design role, the candidate is expected to perform functions related to complex drafting assignments including providing directions to other technicians and to perform less complex design assignments. To provide guidance to others on software skills. To work with less supervision. To have effective reading and writing skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualification Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience (Years) 5+ Years Software Skills AutoCAD 2005 / 2010 Any 3D software experience MS office modules CADWORKS, Navisworks, Isogen will add advantage Domain Area (preferred) GOC / Power plant > Drafting skills > Piping layout and detailing

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Non-Technical: Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Perseverance, Patience, Time Management, Drive for Results, Self Development, Customer Focus, Listening, Informing. Technical: Ability to use the appropriate electronic applications and programs required for performing assignments. Include but not limited to CADD, other electronic applications, information modeling and document storage systems. Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and B&V policies and procedures. Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends. Intermediate knowledge of company quality program. Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. Advanced knowledge of other disciplines. Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles. Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides related to assigned engineering discipline. Basic knowledge of procurement & contract administration. Basic knowledge of process, procedures for project controls and estimating. Basic knowledge of management techniques and company/division HR programs, policies, procedures, and organization structure.
