Primary Purpose:
Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. Expands knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience in Instrumentation & Control System design which includes detailed feasibility studies, detailed project studies, basic system engineering, review engineering, detailed technical specification development, etc. Shall be experienced in developing P&ID’s, Instrument index, Instrument hook-up and wiring drawings, Cable schedules, preparation of DCS database, Control & Protection logics, Loop diagrams, schematics, preparation of Instrument specifications / datasheets, enquiry documents, cost estimates. Knowledge of multiple DCS / PLC systems shall be required. Knowledge of Foundation FIELDBUS / PROFIBUS technologies, Functional safety systems, explosion protection classification etc., will be an added advantage. Knowledge of relevant standards is compulsory. Candidates should preferably have experience of engineering of large coal based power plants and/or combined cycle power projects.
