Functions in a junior level engineering technician capacity. Under close supervision, performs basic functions requiring technical knowledge utilizing electronic applications, processes, standards and document control processes/procedures for the purpose of creating or modifying deliverable. Evaluates methods used to accomplish the drafting and/or design activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Create interactive searches, analyze spatial information, edit data, develop maps, and present the results of each of these activities. Develop and modify deliverables based on sketches or mark-up copies. Learns and maintains a working knowledge of project and company standards. Learn to continuously evaluate methods used to accomplish the drafting and/or design activities that they have been assigned. If this evaluation indicates that a process can be simplified, without sacrificing the integrity of the outcome, it should be discussed with the supervisor for possible implementation. Ensure that deliverables that they work on are complete and meet Black & Veatch QA requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Civil/Architectural/ Telecommunication Engineering Experience (Years) 2 to 3 Years Software Skills Required - ArcGIS Mapping and AutoCAD Addition - Micro station Domain Area Outside Plant (OSP) Optical Fiber cable (OFC) Telecom Wireline/Wireless Arc GIS Mapping
