Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. Expands knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Shall be experienced in Preparation of mechanical data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluation and recommendation and vendor drawing review/approval for Oil and Gas Rotating equipments like API 610 and Non API Pumps (Single and multi stage), Positive displacement pumps API-675, Agitators, Compressors (Reciprocating compressors API 618, Screw Compressors, Centrifugal Compressors API 617), Canned pumps for cryogenic services, blowers, API 682 Mechanical Seal Systems used in Oil & Gas. Standardization of Seal and Seal system, metallurgy, motor standards for major applications.
Shall be conversant with handling of Instrument Air Package, Fire Water pump package.
Shall be capable of carrying out meetings/discussions with Rotating equipment suppliers/client as part of technical evaluation. Review of 3D model for Rotary equipments.
Evaluate vendor bidding documents, including proposals, data, reports, drawings, etc. Work with project members on scheduling and cost and be able to coordinate with other disciplines and/or vendor for equipment layout, process datasheet, and instrument connection.
Candidate should preferably have experience of engineering of large Oil and Gas plants preferably SRU, LNG or petrochemicals.
Knowledge of relevant standards is compulsory
Basic knowledge of technical aspects of the proposal, procurement and other discipline preferred.
