Functions as a Project Engineer coordinating multi-discipline teams on various small and large wastewater treatment plant projects in Vancouver. Role includes coordination of engineering, delegation of work, supervision of progress, ensuring quality control requirements, adherence to budgets and schedules. Functions as a technical specialist role. May provide technical guidance on projects requiring this expertise. Participate and lead in business development and office development activities by leveraging existing personal contacts, developing new contacts, and through regular communications with our clients.

Responsibilities will include the planning and development of various engineering projects ranging in complexity and size from planning through construction within the areas of municipal water and wastewater. Duties include the coordination of projects with B&V personnel, maintain engineering records, lists and reports as required to ensure compliance with the client's schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to procurement specification, or to ensure engineering problems are monitored and resolved.
Assist with client related functions and assignments. Participate and lead in business development activities for the local markets with their existing client contacts as well as through new ones.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Must have valid local Professional Engineer registration in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering in BC. Experience with civil mechanical design (e.g. pumps, valves, blowers, engine generators, conveying equipment, water/wastewater treatment process equipment, etc.).
Experience in working directly with clients on a regular basis, such as leading workshops/meetings, making presentations, preparing progress reports.
Possesses strong written communications and presentation skills, driven for results, decision making quality, ability to priority set, resource planning, task delegation, directing teams, ability to conflict manage, Ddealing with ambiguity, client focused, and ability to build effective teams.
Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable local design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline. Intermediate knowledge of other disciplines and advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends. Intermediate knowledge of company quality program. Intermediate knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles. Intermediate knowledge of procurement & contract administration. Working knowledge of process, procedures for project controls and estimating. Supervisor competencies.
