Primary Purpose:
Functions as a client electrical liaison and in a lead and cooperative role with electrical and instrumentation design team members and other engineering discipline staff. With minimal supervision, applies advanced electrical engineering concepts and utilizes communication skills to address project problems and design strategies for our clients. Expands knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Service as lead electrical engineer and client liaison for design and construction services of water and wastewater systems for clients in Atlanta and other Southeastern United States locations. Design responsibilities include power distribution systems, instrumentation, motor controls, generator systems, lighting systems, raceway systems, and auxiliary building systems including fire alarm, security and communications. Assume responsibility for leading project electrical and instrumentation design teams in diverse geographic locations and providing quality control to assure all work performed meets all applicable local codes and client standards. Typical duties will include: 1) establish and maintain relationships with local clients, 2) marketing support for project pursuits, 3) new business development for stand-alone electrical/I&C projects, 4) work with department management to develop budget and schedule for electrical design, 5) construction support activities including contractor meetings, review submittals, and field inspections, 6) prepare design reports, 7) provide quality control for electrical and instrumentation design, 8) coordinate with local electric utilities 9) become knowledgeable about local/regional codes and client standards.
Knowledge of electrical power system software such as SKM or ETAP. Basic experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
At least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering design and construction for electrical power distribution systems and/or instrumentation and control systems. Must be licensed a Licensed Professional Engineer preferably in Georgia, South Carolina, or Florida.
