Functions in a mid level engineering technician capacity. Under general supervision, performs functions requiring intermediate knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Likely to work on US, UK and regional Asia-Pacific projects Coordination with process mechanical, ICA, Architectural, civil/ structural, and building systems mechanical designers. Independently lead electrical CAD works on assigned project (s) with minimal inputs/guidance from senior electrical engineers. Ready to work on multiple projects simultaneously Prepare load studies, transformer sizing Prepare Single line diagrams based on load lists Carry out lighting calculations using available software Carry out Light fixture selection Carry out cable sizing using software or using look up tables Prepare lighting layouts and power plan layouts Prepare cable routing, duct bank layouts etc. Involvement with project site activities if required. Essential Job Qualifications: Engineering: Significant experience with a consultant in a design capacity preparing engineering deliverables Understanding of Electrical Distribution Systems Exposure to water and wastewater treatment plants preferred Exposure to Design of ancillary systems including telephone, intercom, UPS systems, and fire alarm and detection Load lists and preparing SLDs based on load lists Lighting calculations Cable sizing Cabling, lighting, earthing system basics, required to prepare drawings Load studies, transformer sizing Involvement with project site activities if required Site construction/ EPC experience will be beneficial, but not essential. CAD Abilities Having minimum 2 years’ experience in Revit 3D modeling Develop Revit families (both non parametric & parametric) Develop 2D sheets Plan & sections from 3D model Having knowledge and experience on Revit Central model, define Worksets would be an additional advantage. Preparing equipment, earthing, lighting, small power and cabling layout drawings, detail drawings and as-built drawings Cable tray and conduit routing layout drawings, detail drawings and as-built drawings Scheduling take off/bill of quantities/material take offs Develop details from the schematic designs under the guidance of senior engineers. Clash detection Performed tasks assigned independently with minimum guidance from the seniors in the discipline. Software Abilities AUTOCAD, Revit-2013, Microstation Softskills Shall ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned tasks within the discipline- within home office and with overseas counterparts Responsible for compliance with QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures. Good writing skills, presentation and oral communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Diploma in Electrical Engineering Experience – 5+ years

Non-Technical: Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Perseverance, Patience, Time Management, Drive for Results, Self Development, Customer Focus, Listening, Informing Technical: Understands and applies Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD), information modeling or other applications or design or modeling skills and/or design principles and practices. Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and B&V policies and procedures. Basic industry knowledge and technology trends. Basic knowledge of company quality program. Intermediate ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. Basic knowledge of other disciplines. Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles.
