Our services encompass planning, design, procurement, construction, startup, optimization and maintenance.
Assignments given to this individual are more complex with the expectation that assignments are completed with limited supervision and minimal review. Majority of assignments are of a design nature, with the balance of responsibilities requiring CAD or other electronic tool skills. Alternatively, incumbent is expected to be an expert in the use of CAD or other electronic tools. When performing production CAD, their responsibilities go beyond drawing preparation as they are expected to layout and develop drawings with only minimal input using general concepts and verbal instructions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a mid-level position where the candidate is expected to be very knowledgeable in and able to perform drafting and design in one or more of the following areas related to industrial power generation projects: Site Arrangements, Site Grading and Underground Utilities, Foundations, Structural Steel, and Architecture.
Assignments are complex and demanding, and the technician is expected to complete these assignments with limited supervision and minimal review during the completion of the work. The engineering technician is responsible for ensuring that the design layout and drawings created are complete and meet company requirements and applicable codes and standards. Design layout and drawings shall be compliant with recommended practices, sketches, notes, any written or verbal instructions given and the project design requirements.
Proactively applies quality to deliverables. Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts. Reviews design inputs in order to ensure consistency. Assists to ensure deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards suitable for the project.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required. Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred).
Minimum of 8 years related work experience
