Black & Veatch is currently hiring a new CAD/Site Infrastructure Engineering Technician, with Strong AutoCAD Revit knowledge, to support regional customers for Black & Veatch Water Division, and who will be reporting to the UK BIM Manager. The role is based in our Redhill (Surrey) office.

The CAD/Site Infrastructure Engineering Technician will be supporting BIM projects where there is a requirement for Civil/Structural Revit modelling.

Primary Purpose:
• Function in a senior lead engineering technician capacity. • Under general direction, modify or create deliverables and perform assignments of a design nature by applying basic engineering principles and established design practices to develop complex design concepts. • Provide technical guidance and may provide direction to other engineering professionals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Production of drawings for detailed design for construction of site infrastructure including:
• Structures
• Process pipework
• Mechanical equipment
• Produce structural outlines for CIVIL3D
• Manage BV model content

Client Focus / Communication:
• Work with other B&V Water professionals
• Work to procedures of B&V.

People Management:
• Understand schedule (programme) needs and advise on additional resource requirements.

Complexity / Problem solving:
• Adapt and respond to different and changing project situations and client requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and training:
• Further education
• AutoCAD
• Revit 2012

Academic and professional qualifications:
• HNC or HND

Background and experience:
• Extensive and strong experience producing engineering drawings for structures, Mechanical, pipework etc.

Knowledge Base:
• AutoCAD Revit 2012.
• Civil, Structural experience.
• Understanding of PAS1192

IT skills in:
• AutoCAD products
• Excel

Personal Attributes:
• Team player who can adapt quickly to different working environments and methods.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Education and training:
• Revit 2012 family content

Background and experience:
• Work on projects for Black & Veatch Water Division.

Knowledge Base:
• Revit or AutoCAD 3D MEP

Skills:
• ProjectWise or similar
• SQL experience
