*** May be located anywhere in the WEST*** Functions as a Senior Wastewater Process Engineer responsible for leading technical proposal preparation, process evaluations and selection of treatment schemes, detailed process design, commissioning and operational optimization. Other responsibilities include technical scope and budget preparation, publishing of technical papers and articles in area of expertise, and mentoring of design staff. Experienced in both traditional and expanded scope delivery methods.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a Senior Wastewater Process Engineer. Identify and develop innovative technical proposal development and solutions. Business Development and creating growth in B&V’s West Region. Client-focused role with responsibility for selling new work and expanding our market position. Increase B&V market place visibility assisting local Project Director with participation in national and regional conferences, committees, community and civic associations, and other activities such as publishing and presenting. Function in leadership roles on specific pursuits or projects and mentor and help to develop process and discipline engineer design staff in areas of expertise. Work closely with other management to be a key advisor regarding trends and emerging issues and help grow market share and work with project team from conceptualization, design and construction, commissioning and operational optimization. Lead and/or advise process team in project pursuit, tender development, preliminary and detailed design, construction related services, performance and risk management, quality control and assurances, and start-up and commissioning services. Supports mitigation of risk related to projects/technologies. Quality/Continuous Improvement; establishes related processes and promotes a culture that is conducive to quality especially leading process and ensure process is followed by the design team. Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Master's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 15 years wastewater experience. Experience in some of the following areas: • Biological nutrient removal • Process model simulation (BioWin and/or GPS-X) • Disinfection • Reuse • Advanced oxidation • Membrane bioreactors (MBR) • CFD modeling • Pilot testing • Publications at WEFTEC, IWA and other professional organizations
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to wastewater engineering. Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned. Advanced wastewater industry knowledge and technology trends. Advanced knowledge of company quality program. Intermediate knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles and startup and commissioning services. Knowledge of wastewater technical aspects of the proposal process.
