Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Country Leadership and Telecom Business Leadership to develop and shape India Country Strategic Plan for Telecommunications Business. Leads a team that manages multiple Services projects, and/or a EPC projects. Works closely with India Sales team and takes ownership of the sales target for India. Manages multiple clients and/or projects. Obtains new/repeat business on all telecom projects; lead contract negotiations with client peers and actively contributes and guides during the proposal stages. Manages risk which may include fixed price engineering, new technology or new clients. Represents Black & Veatch within the Indian Telecommunications industry community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Electronics and Communications or in Telecommunications or equivalent. Additional Project Management qualification preferred

Minimum 20 years of experience
The position requires a strong focus on managing the project financials and risk profile in order to drive profitable projects. The candidate will possess strong skills in processes management, team management/leadership, commercial/contract adherence and management of risk. This individual will be expected to drive strong client relationship building, both internally and externally. The position also requires an understanding of the Indian Telecom industry structure and trends.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the following competencies: conflict management, strategic planning and decision making client focus, schedule management, and delegation skills. Candidate will also possess strong communication, listening skills, and the ability to motivate and direct others, strong negotiation skills, planning, priority setting, process management and timely decision making. Drives and guides the project team according to defined timelines and ensures project timelines are met and are within budget.

Knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline. Working knowledge of industry and technology trends. Working knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles. Working knowledge of procurement & contract administration. Working knowledge of process, procedures for project controls and estimating.

Candidate should have managed the execution of telecom backbone network projects (infrastructure) both in brown field and green field conditions. Candidates should have worked either with major telecom operators or equipment manufacturers or system integrators.
